My contribution — Doctoral Researcher
Developed the distributed and heuristic optimization, dispatch and forecasting methods behind this research program, as lead or contributing author across the publication record. The wind-power forecasting model was validated using real-time simulators, not on live infrastructure; the EV energy-trading framework was tested experimentally.
Overview
This doctoral research programme developed distributed and heuristic optimization methods for the operation, optimization and dispatch of power systems and microgrids under uncertainty — from consensus-based scheduling algorithms to cloud-fog architectures for resilient microgrid operation.
The work was carried out across an international network spanning SUTech, Aarhus University, Purdue University, Deakin University and the University of Windsor.
